Some Challenges During Design and Applications of Ultra-High Performance Concrete by  Prof. Caijun Shi

We are pleased to welcome Prof. Caijun Shi, to the College of Design & Build Environment (CDB), KFUPM, who is currently visiting KFUPM on invitation by the CEE Department under Inbound Program. Presently, he is a Chair Professor at the College of Civil Engineering, Hunan University. He is the founding editor-in-chief of the Journal of Sustainable Cement-Based Materials. Prof. Shi’s research interests include design, properties, and applications of HPC/UHPC, performance enhancement of recycled concrete aggregates, chemically-activated cementitious materials and structural design, CO₂ sequestration in concrete materials and products. He has an extensive publication record in high-impact journals and holds numerous patents, making significant contributions to the industry. As per Scopus records till date, he has published a total of 602 documents and got 44,266 citations with a h-index of 111.
